Shaun is the embedded assassin on Flight 234, the second string to the bow, there to ensure 'Casper' never makes it to Seattle and the meeting with Phil Tennant. He goes after Chance when he realizes that his fellow passenger is a roadblock to the plan, but is overpowered and subdued. He does, however, manage to signal his partner to finish the job.
